Insta Pilot’s Breath Air Monitor (IPBAM) has been developed together with the Finnish Defence Forces and it has been in use since 2018 with good results.
The IPBAM improves aircrew safety and the order executed on friday will enable the use of IPBAM at every F/A-18 flight. By monitoring cabin pressure and oxygen partial pressure the IPBAM can provide an early warning about hypoxic conditions providing the pilot with more time to execute emergency procedures before the dangerous symptoms arise.
The rise of physiological episodes has been reported across the globe and many countries are working to prevent them. Insta Pilot’s Breath Air Monitor has already been flown at three continents and Insta expects demand from multiple countries.
