Insta participates in Fortum’s world-class projects by delivering electrification to plants reusing waste heat from data centers in Espoo and Kirkkonummi

Technology company Insta and its subsidiary Mattila Porvoo will provide process electricity and instrumentation installations to Fortum’s heat pump plants. The heat pump plants are related to a globally unique project executed together with Microsoft for recovering waste heat from data centers. Following the project, the data centers will cover approximately 40% of the local district heating customers’ heating needs.

Husum Pulp – Instrument and ICT Installations for More Competitive and Sustainable Pulp Mill

The renewal of the Metsä Board Husum pulp mill will increase the unit’s production capacity and electricity self-sufficiency with minimal environmental impact. Insta delivered the mill’s instrument and ICT installations, as well as manufacturing both the instrumentation and cabinets, simultaneously helping other subcontractors in reaching the common goal.

A pioneer in the final disposal of nuclear fuel trusts Insta

Posiva has been developing a solution for the final disposal of nuclear fuel for more than 40 years and excavates deposition tunnels at a depth of 400–450 m underground. Soon, unmanned vehicles will move inside the tunnels and transport uranium assemblies encapsulated in a copper canister. The expert organization is the first in the world to start final disposal operations, and it relies on Insta in automation. Insta participates in the project in many ways – most importantly via the automation systems that it delivers.
